Please consider Fiona Davis. She has been a participant in the past and very popular. Her most recent book is Stolen Queen. Thanks for this great update!
I love this amazing festival that highlights all kinds of literacy, supports authors and readers, as well as local community organizations. Please consider having author Carolyn Flynn and her new book Boundless at TFOB this year. She also can give writing workshop sessions. She's a wonderful teacher, coach, and writer!
Thanks. I would love it if somehow you could get Zoe Schlanger - her cancellation this year was a huge disappointment. And Joyce Vance has a book coming out this year. AND I support David Nix's proposed Mark Twain to James extravaganza.
Kareem Abdul Jabbar’s new book just came out - he would be an amazing “get” AND he has connections to AZ as he helped coach a BB team in AZ a while back. Another of his books.
Please consider General Stanley McChrystal . He just came out with a new book called On Character. The book about the character of this country is an interesting and important subject for the next Festival.
The collection of authors this year was a bit disappointing. But with the understanding that this is like being the musical guest at the Super Bowl, it's probably difficult to get authors to travel to Tucson. I'd prefer a bit more intellectual of an exchange with the authors, and subsequently less like a street fair. I am happy it is getting so popular, but it difficult to get around, and so crowded.
In general, authors love coming to Tucson. Usually when authors send regrets, it's a matter of other commitments to events, family, their health, etc-- human nature!
Please think about including audiobook narrators. This would be a big hit!
Interesting! Thanks for sharing your idea.
Even after being involved in the Festival as a volunteer for 5 years, I learned new things and found this column very informative. Thanks!
Think I'll like learning more about the TFOB from this newsletter. Thanks!

Love this behind-the-scenes peek!

Yes, she was very disappointed too, but it couldn't be helped. Thanks, Caroline.
Nice article!
As an independent author it would be exciting to participate with my new book, Aubade.

Please consider inviting Tara Roberts whose book Written in the Waters is wonderful and timely.
